The Oyster SunMover mobile solar power technology. A specially designed 75 watt solar panel module, mounted onto a compact motorised pan and tilts mechanism, with GPS control for maximum solar energy throughout the day

The system  is an intelligent GPS-controlled 75 watt solar panel which automatically tracks the sun’s path during the day ensuring that the solar panel is always perfectly aimed at the sun providing optimal solar energy.

The average solar power yield is equivalent to that of about three fixed horizontal 75 watt flat solar panels. The SunMover system thus saves a lot of space and wiring on the vehicle roof and is very easy to operate by simply pressing a button on the internal control panel. The enhanced yield of the SunMover  system is even greater in winter (up to factor 7). During the winter months, the sun is always low over the horizon, and the flat solar panels only generate  minimal power accordingly.

The fully automatic control centre located inside your vehicle is full of intelligent software. At the touch of a button, the system moves into the sun position. The term GPS (Global Positioning System) is usually associated with navigation systems. But what has GPS got to do with a solar system? Usually, nothing. However, the SunMover  system uses GPS data to determine the precise position of the solar panel, the system uses date and time and using this information, the SunMover calculates its precise position relative to the sun, even on cloudy days the solar panel is perfectly aimed directly at the sun and provides maximum solar power.
